Overview- by Mary Ceynowa
"Helping
to identify and cultivate leaders capable of ensuring an organization's
health, long into the future, is the cornerstone of my work.
Leadership development is just as essential to the 30-year
old family enterprise preparing to pass the reins from one
generation to the next, as it is to the entrepreneurial upstart,
whose rapid expansion is all too quickly stretching management
dangerously thin.
A
key focus of my business has always been to assist companies
with and through the process of leadership succession. My
training in professional counseling and psychology proves
especially useful when I am asked to guide a business and
its’ employees through a difficult and emotional process
into a positive and successful outcome.
Any
transition of a company's management and/or ownership from
one generation to the next, whether family-owned or otherwise,
represents huge risk. Well-informed, insightful decision-making
is the best way I know to minimize such risk.. Using objective
and in-depth testing and analysis we can collaborate to reveal
obstacles and opportunities that lie above and below the surface.
Resulting a minimization of transitional risk.
The
Leadership Development Programs I offer will not only help
determine who is best suited to fill new or next-generation
leadership roles, they are tailored to ensure that individuals
are well-prepared for greater responsibility when their transition
to a new position comes.
I
cannot stress enough the value of leadership development in
any organization. Ideally, it should begin ten years prior
to retirement of the current leadership team. Leadership development
is also not something to be reserved for the upper stratospheres
of management, nor limited to leadership succession needs
alone. It is most effective when utilized as an ongoing process
that pays long-term dividends to organizations that make a
management commitment to leadership development. I offer a
broad range of programs designed to cultivate and perpetuate
a depth of leadership, on multiple tiers of management, developing
potential for both the long and short term.
When
other professionals are involved, providing services related
but separate from those I offer, I am often asked to provide
coordination services, in order to ensure continuity and prevent
overlap. That may involve coordination between an existing
team of consultants hired directly by the client, or with
consultants I am able to refer. As a member of Peer Consulting
Group, an association of highly qualified professionals, I
am able to broaden the scope of services I can make available,
to more completely meet needs of my clients.
Most
recently, I have adapted the skills and programs I have long
offered to organizations, to assist individual, retiring executives
better prepare for a rewarding second phase of their lives.
Today, the average age of retirement is 52. Individual (next)
career assessment and development proves to be just as valuable
in choosing and preparing for a second career as for the first.
It's been an exciting and rewarding new area of service for
me, and something that has proven most valuable to my clients.
I thank you for your interest in Ceynowa Consulting and hope
you will review my web site further to find the services and
programs that will address the needs you and/or your organization
may have. I would welcome an opportunity to work with you."
